In 1982 I came to Michigan and have been fishing the St. Joseph river ever since. For the first 10 years my time was spent learning the river and local lakes, currents, and flows and how to navigate them.  Next I took time learning fish habits on a year round basis, where they go and what the fish do. Then in 1992 I received my USCG captain's license and started Golden Eye Charters. After 41 years I'm still guiding clients to some of the best fishing in Michigan.
